NYFW Chromat Structural Fashion with MAC Makeup Outfitting Spring 2015
If Chromat is unfamiliar territory and you haven’t quite discovered them, let me tell you they’ll definitely leave a hint of unfamiliar territory with the desire of wanting to find out more. Why so confident in this display of characterization, just look at the demand for 50 Shades of Grey! I’m not saying there is a correlation between the brands designs and the film, but if you visit their website: you’ll see the words, Structural experiments for the human body! Isn’t that all fashion anyway? Maybe, however Chromat is known for structural experiments and is an extension of Becca McCharen’s background in architecture.
Chromat is uniquely defined by architectural shapes and styles to outfit ones “bionic body” or readiness to push the unspoken limits of fashion into a grandiose manner. The spring 2015 New York Fashion Week show was held during day 1 of fashion week at the Standard Hotel. Backstage beauty was designed by makeup artistry, MAC Cosmetics. The look was very natural and minimal, but with a pop of color in a place you wouldn’t necessarily expect: in between the eyes and nose. One thing to keep in mind when loving runway beauty is that on the runway every look is always extreme and not always meant for every day wear. However there are basics like skin care, or achieving the glow that just makes you beautiful for days; this is apropos to take note on and learn to recreate. Because just like the bionic bodies made for evolving fashions, our beauty is made too glisten, glow and be as natural and beautiful as possible!
